TEAM DIRECTOR

Travis Dorsch

A native of Bozeman, Montana, Travis has served as Director of Beaver Mountain Ski Team since 2000. A passionate advocate for youth sport, he has contributed to the team in multiple roles, including as a volunteer coach (2020-21), YSL Coach (2021-22), and South Series Coach (2022-present). Travis holds a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 200 coaching certification and is a Level 100 certified official. Beyond the slopes, Travis is a Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Utah State University, where he is also the Founding Director of the Families in Sport Lab. Trained in kinesiology with a specialization in sport and exercise psychology, Travis’ research explores the people and environments that shape youth sport experiences. His work has been supported by leading national organizations, including the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the NCAA, and the Aspen Institute. Travis is a former national science board member for the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition and a research fellow for the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport. He is also a steering committee member for the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation’s “Sport 2030” initiative. Travis and his wife Bree are proud ski parents to Josie (11) and Bridger (9), both active members of the Beaver Mountain Ski Team.

Jurgen Cox

A native of Park City, Utah, Jurgen is in his first season as an assistant coach for Beaver Mountain Ski Team. Austin Granger

A native of Hometown, State, Austin is in his first season as an assistant coach for Beaver Mountain Ski Team. Harrison Kleiner

A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Harrison has served as president of the Beaver Mountain Ski Team Governing Board since 2021, as an Assistant Coach in 2023-24, and as the head U16 coach in 2024-25. Harrison ski raced for 13 years growing up in Colorado, and is now a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 100 certified coach. Off the hill, Harrison is the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at Utah State University and is a Professor of Philosophy with specialization in the history of philosophy. Harrison has lived in Logan for 21 years and is, with his wife Amy, the proud parent of four daughters, two of whom are Beaver Mountain Ski Team alumnae.

Megan Stone

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Meg has served as an assistant coach for the Beaver Mountain Ski Team since the 2024-25 season. Meg grew up ski racing along the Wasatch Front, racing for Brighton Ski Team and Snowbird Sports and Education Foundation. After 10 years of competitive racing, Meg served as a volunteer peer coach for Snowbird for four years. While completing her Bachelor’s degree at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, Meg was a YSL coach for the Big Sky Sports and Education Foundation during the 2023-24 season. Upon moving to Logan, Utah to pursue a master’s degree at Utah State University, Meg began her tenure with the Beaver Mountain Ski Team. Meg is a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 100 certified coach and a Level 100 certified official. Off the slopes, Meg enjoys camping, hiking, reading, crocheting, and spending time with friends and family. In line with her master’s degree in Recreation Resource Management, Meg is passionate about creating accessible opportunities for people to get outside, have fun, and create meaningful connections with the natural world. Skiing is Meg’s absolute favorite thing to do and she loves the opportunity to share her love of the sport with the next generation of ski racing athletes!
